The Commissioner of Health, Mons Nicolas Volbert chaired an interactive meeting with various NGOs, religious representatives and civil society in the presence of his head of department Mons Django Bègue and the Director of Health Dr. Davidson Casimir. The purpose of the meeting was to present the situation on sexually transmitted diseases and teenage pregnancies. The Commissioner of Health explained the current situation in Rodrigues and all the actions undertaken by the commission to combat these scourge and requested the help of all those present for better coordination of our actions.
